The location was perfect for exploring the nearby attractions such as the Caverns, Buxton, and the Dams. the cottage itself was well-equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay, including a kitchen with all the amenities and even an air fryer. the host was friendly and helpful, and the outdoor space at the front of the cottage provided a great spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful views.
The cottage is situated near a main road, so there can be some noise from passing cars. However, this did not significantly detract from our overall enjoyment of the stay.

We got great value for our money at Peacock Cottage. The room was cozy and filled with character, providing a home away from home feeling. The location was perfect, with easy access to the beautiful Peak District and all its attractions. Brian, the owner, was friendly and extremely helpful throughout our stay, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed.
The hotel breakfast menu could have offered a wider variety of options.

Such a cozy and charming place with tons of character, easily one of the best I've ever stayed at. The landlord went above and beyond to take care of us during the heavy snow. The cottage was spotless and spacious, with all the utilities you could wish for. A great location in a peaceful area, perfect for walks and with a fantastic farm shop nearby that also serves excellent food. The attention to detail and thought put into the cottage's design is top-notch, and the owner, Brian, is incredibly welcoming and funny. Highly recommended to friends and family, and I can't wait to come back. Ideal base for exploring the area, with stunning attractions like Winnats Pass and Buxton just minutes away. No pets allowed and no smoking on-site, but there is free parking and Wi-Fi available.

Cycling nearby was an absolute blast! Pedaling through the stunning natural beauty of the Peak District National Park felt like being in a real-life postcard. The fresh air, picturesque landscapes, and exhilarating ride made me feel like I was cycling in a scene from a Disney movie.
No cons. Perfect stay!

Our stay at Peacock Cottage was a breath of fresh air, quite literally! The garden surrounding the holiday home was a lush oasis where we could unwind and bask in nature's embrace. It felt like stepping into a secret garden, a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Distant road noise at times.

We chose Peacock Cottage for its perfect location near the Caverns, Buxton, and the Dams. The photos accurately showcased the beautifully renovated cottage, complete with parking right outside. Brian, our friendly host, ensured a welcoming and comfortable stay with all the necessary amenities. The attic room was a hit with the kids, offering a great view of the hill behind the cottage. We really couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

Peacock Cottage was absolutely delightful. The owner, Brian, had thoughtfully decorated the cottage with such charm and character. The cozy living areas were perfect for relaxation, and the cottage's accessibility was a blessing for a senior like me. The location in the Peak District allowed for easy exploration of the beautiful surroundings.
The only thing I would have asked for during my stay was a bit more assistance from the children working there. It would have been nice to have someone available to help with any special needs or requirements that senior guests may have had.

Loved staying at this posh pad in the middle of nowhere. Free WiFi for all of my important social media updates. Great for biking and exploring nature. Close to the airport, in case I needed to escape this peacefulness.
Absolutely nothing to complain about. I mean, who needs cheap taxis when you can enjoy a scenic 3-mile hike to Chapel?
